2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on Under The Sea Themed Awards Dinner.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Pin Look
Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For cool undertones, lean into silvery blues and lavender highlights.
If you’re warmer, swap the blue for teal and gold.
Those tones will make your skin glow like sunlight on water.
Texture-wise, I love a cream base for the lid, then a pressed shimmer on top for that wet-look finish.
If you prefer matte, just use a satin blush and skip the glitter.
You’ll still get the vibe without the sparkle.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
