In Part 3 of our guide to Speakeasy, let’s talk hands-on technique.
You don’t need a professional backstage kit if you layer your prep in the right order.

How I Recreate It in Under 15 Minutes
Start with a hydrating lip scrub and balm, then apply a full-coverage concealer around your lips to neutralize the natural edge.
This makes the red pop and stay put.
I line with a matching lip pencil, fill in the whole lip, then apply the lipstick with a brush for precision.
For the eyes, I tightline with a black gel liner, then wing it out just slightly.
Think cat-eye, not dramatic.
I finish with two coats of volumizing mascara on the top lashes only.
And a soft brown shadow in the crease to add depth without heaviness.
