2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on Speakeasy.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Pin Look
Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For warm undertones, I lean into brick or terracotta reds.
And for cool undertones, I choose blue-based crimson.
If you have neutral skin, you can pull off almost any shade—just let your natural lip color guide the intensity.
Texture-wise, a matte lipstick gives that classic speakeasy feel.
But if you want more dimension, I’ll add a sheer gloss just to the center of the lower lip.
For the eye, keep the liner sharp and the shadow in warm taupes or soft browns.
No glitter, just a subtle sheen at the inner corner.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
