3. My Step-by-Step Studio Application & Styling Routine
In Part 3 of our guide to Polka Dot Dress & Red Kitten Heel Mules, let’s talk hands-on technique.
You don’t need a professional backstage kit if you layer your prep in the right order.

How I Recreate It in Under 15 Minutes
Start with a hydrating primer, then apply a light-coverage foundation only where you need it.
I use a damp sponge to press it in for that ‘skin but better’ finish.
Set your T-zone with powder.
But leave your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose bare so they catch the light naturally.
For the eyes, I’d do a wash of champagne shimmer on the lid, a soft brown in the crease, and one coat of mascara.
Finish with a cream blush in a poppy shade, applied with your fingers for a just-pinched look.
And a swipe of cherry-tinted lip balm easy, fresh, and ready for a full day of events.
