2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on Oh Hello Clothing: Women's Clothing, Dresses, and Fashion Online.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For warmer undertones, I’d lean into a peachy gold blush and a bronzy lid—it adds warmth without looking muddy.
If you’re cooler-toned, swap the peach for a soft rose or mauve, and use a champagne shimmer on the eyes instead.
The dress color matters too:.
For blush or pastel dresses, stick to pinks and nudes; for jewel tones, deepen the lip to a berry or terracotta for contrast.
Texture-wise, I love a satin or velvet dress for a shower—it photographs beautifully and feels luxe.
If you’re wearing a floral print, keep the makeup more minimal and let the dress do the talking; if it’s a solid color, you can play up the eyes or lips a bit more.
Proportions matter: a midi length with a defined waist flatters most body types, so focus on that silhouette first.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
