3. My Step-by-Step Studio Application & Styling Routine
In Part 3 of our guide to Margot Gown, let’s talk hands-on technique.
You don’t need a professional backstage kit if you layer your prep in the right order.

How I Recreate It in Under 15 Minutes
I start with a hydrating primer on the T-zone and a pore-blurring balm on the cheeks, then apply a thin layer of cool-toned foundation with a damp sponge, building only where needed.
I set the perimeter with a loose powder.
But leave the high points of the face bare for the veil-like sheen to peek through.
For the eyes, I use a soft taupe in the crease, a champagne shimmer on the lid.
And a tight-lined black pencil along the upper lash line then finish with two coats of volumizing mascara.
The lips get a rose-nude liner and a balmy tint, blotted once, so the focus stays on the gown’s neckline.
