2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on Luxurious Mermaid Crystal Beaded Embroidered Corset Prom Dress.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Pin Look
Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For cool undertones (pink or rosy), I’d go with a soft champagne shimmer on the eyes and a rose-nude lip.
It mirrors the ivory and silver beads perfectly.
If your skin has warm golden undertones, swap the champagne for a peachy bronze and add a touch of honey gloss to the lips to tie in the gold flecks in the embroidery.
Texture-wise, I love pairing this dress with a satin-finish foundation and a dewy highlight on the cheekbones.
But keep the T-zone matte so the face doesn’t compete with the dress’s shine.
For proportions, if the dress is full-on sparkle, keep accessories minimal.
Just a dainty bracelet or small earrings and let the corset be the focal point.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
