When I style clients in red heels, I start with a neutral base.
Nude or beige tones so the shoes stay the hero.
Then I add a swipe of matching red lipstick to tie the look together.
But keep the eyes simple with mascara and a subtle shimmer.
For the shoes themselves, I always break them in before the event:.
Wear them around the house with thick socks for an hour, then apply a bit of leather conditioner to soften the straps.
It makes all the difference for all-night wear.
