How I Recreate It in Under 15 Minutes
When I’m prepping a client for a black-dress-red-shoe moment, I start with a hydrating primer, then a light-coverage foundation.
Just enough to even out, never mask.
I use a cream blush in a soft rose, applied high on the cheekbones, and a sheer wash of taupe on the lids.
Finish with a coat of volumizing mascara and a clear or nude gloss.
For the shoes themselves, I always advise breaking them in before the big event—wear them around the house with thick socks for an hour.
Then, on the day, apply a clear balm to the inner heel to prevent rubbing.
It’s the same logic as a good setting spray: prevention beats repair.
