How I Recreate It in Under 15 Minutes

Start with clean, dry hair.

I always prep with a heat protectant and a pea-sized drop of smoothing serum from mid-length to ends.

Section your hair into four quadrants, then curl each section away from the face using a 1.5-inch barrel, leaving the last inch uncurled for that modern, undone finish.

Once all sections are curled, let them cool completely (this is non-negotiable for hold), then gently break up the curls with your fingers.

Finish by spritzing a flexible-hold hairspray from 12 inches away.

And lightly rake through with a wide-tooth comb to soften the waves into that lived-in texture.

Turn to Page 4 for my all-night wear longevity secrets, touch-up kit essentials.

And final studio checklist.
