2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on i l u v e.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For warm undertones, I’d add a subtle honey-glow shimmer through the mid-lengths to catch the light. Cool undertones?
A cool-toned lilac or pearl hairpin tucked near the ear brings out that icy shimmer.
Neutral girls can rock either—just match the accessory metal to your jewelry.
Texture-wise, if you have fine hair, I’ll add a few extra hot-roller sections at the crown for volume.
For thick or curly hair, I’ll stretch the waves with a wide-barrel iron and lock them with a flexible-hold hairspray.
The proportion of face-framing pieces is key.
Leave two or three soft tendrils to soften a square jaw or highlight high cheekbones.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
