2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on Chic Winter outfit with a pop of color💌.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Finding Your Most Flattering Version
If you have warm undertones, steer toward a tomato-red or brick-red heel.
It’ll harmonize with your skin’s golden glow.
For cooler undertones, a blue-based cherry red or crimson is your best friend, as it brings out the rosy tones in your cheeks.
Texture-wise, patent leather is my go-to for a sleek, glossy finish that catches light beautifully.
But matte suede in a deeper burgundy can give a softer, more romantic vibe.
And don’t be afraid to play with proportions.
A kitten heel with a slightly pointed toe elongates the leg, especially when paired with a cropped trouser or a midi skirt that shows a hint of ankle.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
