Finding Your Most Flattering Version

If you have cool undertones, go for an ashy-toned braiding cream to keep brassiness at bay; warm undertones can lean into honey or caramel glazes for a sun-kissed pop.

For finer hair, add a texturizing spray before braiding to create grip.

While thicker hair benefits from a lightweight oil to keep strands sleek.

Proportion-wise, keep the braids medium-thick at the crown and taper toward the ends.

This balances the head shape.

You can also switch the part from center to deep side for an instant red-carpet feel.

Or loosen a few face-framing pieces for a softer, romantic finish.

✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?

  • Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
  • High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
  • Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
