Keeping That Backstage-Fresh Glow

To keep these braids looking fresh, I tell my clients to sleep with a satin scarf or bonnet and to refresh the curls every few days with a little water and leave-in spray.

Avoid heavy oils on the scalp—just a light mist on the braids keeps them from getting greasy.

When it’s time to take them out, don’t rush.

Spritz with warm water and coconut oil, then unravel slowly to prevent breakage.

With proper care, you’ll get a full month of wear, and your natural hair will thank you.
