You don’t need a professional backstage kit if you layer your prep in the right order.

How I Recreate It in Under 15 Minutes
After your foundation and concealer, set your face with a light dusting of powder, then take a fan brush and sweep the highlighter in a ‘C’ shape from your temple, down to the top of your cheekbone, and back up.
That motion creates a lifted, sculpted look that photographs beautifully.
For extra staying power, I always spray a setting mist over the face, then apply a second, lighter layer of highlighter.
This locks it in and gives that dewy, ‘I woke up like this’ glow that lasts all night, even through dancing.

Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
Keeping a saved reference photo on your phone makes it easy to compare subtle details, textures, and color harmony before you start.
