Finding Your Most Flattering Version

For fair to light skin, I’d go with a pearl or soft champagne shade, applied high on the cheekbones and down the nose bridge for a subtle, angelic glow.

If you’re medium or tan, a rose-gold or peachy gold adds warmth.

Sweep it across the top of your cheekbones and cupid’s bow for a sun-kissed effect.

On deeper complexions, I love a bronze or copper-gold luminizer, placed on the high points of the face and even a touch on the collarbone for prom photos.

The key is to match the undertone of the highlighter to your skin’s natural warmth, not the shade of your foundation.

✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?

  • Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
  • High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
  • Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.

Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.

Keeping a saved reference photo on your phone makes it easy to compare subtle details, textures, and color harmony before you start.
