Finding Your Most Flattering Version

If your balayage runs cooler, like ash or pearl tones, I’ll keep the braid tighter and add a matte finish spray to let those icy highlights pop.

For warmer, honey or copper undertones, I loosen the weave and pull out more pieces to mimic that sun-kissed, bohemian vibe.

Texture matters too fine hair needs a bit of backcombing at the roots before braiding to give it grip.

While thicker hair can handle a chunkier, more relaxed plait.

I always adjust the braid’s size and placement based on your face shape and where your highlights fall.

✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?

  • Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
  • High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
  • Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.

Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.

Keeping a saved reference photo on your phone makes it easy to compare subtle details, textures, and color harmony before you start.
