2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on YouTube.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Pin Look
Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For warm undertones, I lean into honey and caramel highlights woven through the braids.
It adds dimension without a full color change.
Cooler undertones pop with ash-brown or jet-black braids.
While olive skin loves a rich chocolate with subtle gold threads.
Texture-wise, a Dutch braid gives more volume and edge.
While a classic three-strand keeps it sleek.
If your hair is fine, I’ll add a bit of dry shampoo at the roots before braiding so the style grips better.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
