2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on WhitneyGrett on LTK.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Pin Look
Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For warm undertones, swap the peach for a terracotta blush and a bronzy nude lip.
It’ll warm up the whole face against a cool-toned blazer.
If you’re cooler, go for a dusty rose cheek and a mauve lip to keep everything harmonious.
Texture matters too: if the blazer is satin or glossy, I’d go matte on the skin and a satin lip to avoid clashing finishes.
If the suit is matte wool, feel free to add a subtle shimmer on the eyes or a gloss for a touch of softness.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
Keeping a saved reference photo on your phone makes it easy to compare subtle details, textures, and color harmony before you start.
