2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on The Top 12 Wedding Dress Trends for Spring 2025.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For fair or cool undertones, stick with true white and add a touch of pearl highlighter for that ethereal finish.
If you have warm or olive skin, go for an ivory or champagne-white dress and warm up your base with a golden bronzer to keep everything cohesive.
Texture-wise, if your gown is heavy satin, keep your makeup demi-matte; if it’s delicate lace or tulle, a dewy skin finish will soften the look.
Proportionally, a bold lip works with a high neckline.
But with a plunging neckline, let your eyes do the talking.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
Keeping a saved reference photo on your phone makes it easy to compare subtle details, textures, and color harmony before you start.
