2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on Sequin Tiered Ruffle Corset Ball Gown Prom Dress.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For warm undertones, I’d go with a peachy-gold blush and a terracotta lip stain.
It melts into the sequins’ warmth.
Cool undertones? Swap in a rose-pink blush and a berry gloss to echo the dress’s cooler shimmer.
If the dress has silver sequins, lean into a pearl-toned highlight and a soft lavender or mauve eye.
For gold sequins, use a champagne or bronze shadow.
Just keep the lid light and let the dress do the heavy lifting.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
