2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on search.app.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Pin Look
Finding Your Most Flattering Version
If you’re cool-toned with pink undertones, swap the gold shimmer for a rose-gold or champagne hue and keep the lip a touch berry.
For deeper skin, I love pushing the bronze into a rich mahogany and adding a hint of plum on the outer corner.
It makes brown eyes pop like crazy.
Texture-wise, go demi-matte on the T-zone but keep a dewy highlight on the high points of your cheeks and cupid’s bow.
If you’re oily, I’ll set with a pressed powder only where needed; if you’re dry, I’ll skip powder entirely and use a hydrating setting spray.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
Keeping a saved reference photo on your phone makes it easy to compare subtle details, textures, and color harmony before you start.
