2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on Recreating Pinterest Outfit With Thrift Finds | Black Business Woman Outfits.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For warm undertones, swap the camel for a rich espresso or rust blazer.
It’ll make your skin glow.
If you’re cool-toned, go for a slate gray or navy instead.
And keep the trousers in a matching deep tone to elongate your silhouette.
Texture matters too: if the blazer is wool-blend, choose silk or satin trousers for contrast; if it’s linen, opt for cotton twill pants.
And play with proportions a cropped blazer with high-waisted trousers reads modern.
While a longer cut feels more classic. Test both in the thrift store mirror.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
