2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on Random Model.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For warmer undertones, I’d lean into golden honey highlights woven through the waves to catch the light.
Cooler undertones? Ask your colorist for a subtle ash or pearl balayage to keep the dimension soft and icy.
If your hair is naturally straight, add a bit of mousse before curling to boost hold; if it’s curly, blow-dry with a round brush to smooth the roots, then use a wide-barrel iron for loose bends.
Adjust the wave size based on your face shape.
Smaller waves for round faces, larger waves for longer faces.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
Keeping a saved reference photo on your phone makes it easy to compare subtle details, textures, and color harmony before you start.
