3. My Step-by-Step Studio Application & Styling Routine
In Part 3 of our guide to Purple prom dress, let’s talk hands-on technique.
You don’t need a professional backstage kit if you layer your prep in the right order.

How I Recreate It in Under 15 Minutes
I start with a hydrating primer, then a lightweight foundation sheered out with a damp sponge.
You want skin to peek through, not look masked.
I set the T-zone with powder but leave the cheeks and temples dewy, then blend a lilac-toned blush from the apples up toward the temples for that ethereal lift.
For eyes, I press a silver-lilac shimmer on the lid, define the crease with a soft taupe.
And finish with a thin wing and two coats of volumizing mascara.
A clear gloss or a pinky-nude lipstick keeps the focus on the dress.
And I always spritz a setting spray in an X and T motion to lock it all down.
