2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on Bold Purple Prom Makeup Look for 2025.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Finding Your Most Flattering Version
If your skin has cool undertones, lean into blue-based purples like violet and periwinkle.
They’ll make your eyes pop without clashing.
For warm or olive undertones, try a warmer plum or aubergine with a hint of brown to blend seamlessly into your crease.
Texture-wise, you can swap the satin lid for a metallic foil if you want more intensity.
Or keep it all matte for a softer, editorial vibe.
I always tell my clients: adjust the shimmer placement.
Inner corner highlight for a wide-awake look, or under the brow bone for a lifted effect.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
