Once your look is in place, keeping the finish radiant and crease-free from morning to midnight comes down to smart finishing.

Keeping That Backstage-Fresh Glow
To make these braids last, I tell my clients to mist their scalp with a rosewater and tea tree oil mix every couple of days.
It keeps itchiness away and promotes healthy growth underneath.
Avoid heavy oils that can build up; a light serum on the braids themselves is plenty for shine.
For touch-ups, if the edges start to loosen after week three, I recommend a quick re-braid of just the front sections.
Takes 10 minutes and revives the whole look.
And when it’s time to remove, never cut them off; soak with warm water and conditioner to ease them out gently.
