3. My Step-by-Step Studio Application & Styling Routine
In Part 3 of our guide to Opera, let’s talk hands-on technique.
You don’t need a professional backstage kit if you layer your prep in the right order.

Pin Look
How I Recreate It in Under 15 Minutes
Start with a hydrating primer, then use a fluffy brush to diffuse a warm taupe through the crease.
I always build the outer V in two layers.
First a soft wash, then a deeper shade pressed close to the lash line for that opera-depth.
Finish with a gel liner flick and a generous coat of volumizing mascara.
For the skin, I use a damp sponge to press in a luminous foundation, then set only the T-zone with powder.
The satin finish is the star—it catches light like a velvet curtain.
