2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on Open Toe Stiletto Heels.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For warm undertones like hers, I mix a drop of golden shimmer into a light-coverage body lotion to create a sun-kissed glow.
If you’re cooler-toned, swap that for a rose-tinted balm and a sheer powder to keep things fresh without any yellow cast.
Texture-wise, go for a soft-matte on the foot itself it prevents slippage inside the shoe.
But add a tiny highlight on the ankle bone and toe tops to catch the light.
If you’re wearing a pointed toe or a platform, adjust the proportion:.
More matte on the sole, more shimmer on the arch.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
