2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on Mermaid Burgundy Sparkly Gown.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Pin Look
Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For fair or cool undertones, lean into rose and mauve shadows with a sheer berry lip.
Skip anything too orange.
If you have warmer skin, swap the blush for a terracotta plum and add a touch of bronze at the temples to echo the gown’s depth.
Texture-wise, I’d pair a satin base with a soft shimmer on the eyes, not a full glitter bomb.
Keep the lip either matte or glossy, but never both.
Choose one focal point so the overall vibe stays polished, not busy.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
