2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on I’m A Fashion And Beauty Photographer Based In London, And Here Are Some Of My Works (13 Pics).
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Pin Look
Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For fair skin with pink undertones, I’d swap the warm bronzer for a cooler taupe contour and use a peachy blush instead of coral.
On deeper complexions, I love layering a golden highlighter on the high points and using a richer berry lip to keep the contrast.
Texture is where you can play if you prefer a dewier finish, mix a drop of liquid illuminator into your foundation.
Or go full matte with a translucent powder on the T-zone.
The key is to keep the eye shadow in the same neutral family so it never competes with the lip.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
Keeping a saved reference photo on your phone makes it easy to compare subtle details, textures, and color harmony before you start.
