2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on Everything You Need to Plan a Bar & Bat Mitzvah.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For warm undertones, I lean into golden bronzers and peachy blushes; for cooler skin, I swap in rose-gold highlights and berry-stained lips.
If the event is outdoors, I go lighter on the base and heavier on the setting spray to beat humidity.
Texture-wise, I mix a liquid highlighter into the foundation for a lit-from-within effect, then dust a translucent powder only on the T-zone.
For younger clients, I keep the eye shadow matte and save the shimmer for a pop on the inner corner.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
Keeping a saved reference photo on your phone makes it easy to compare subtle details, textures, and color harmony before you start.
Small, intentional adjustments to balance and prep time consistently deliver a cleaner, longer-lasting result without extra daily effort.
