2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on Elegant Hair.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Pin Look
Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For fair skin with cool undertones, I’d keep the braid low and loose with wispy baby hairs.
And add a touch of silver or pearl pins.
On deeper complexions, I love a high crown braid with gold accessories.
It pops against rich skin tones.
Texture matters too: if your hair is straight, add a wave before braiding; if it’s curly, embrace the frizz with a smoothing serum.
The braid should feel like it grew out of your hair, not like it was pinned on.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
