2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on cute pink valentines day dress | elegant and pretty.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Pin Look
Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For cool undertones, I lean into berry and rose pinks with a blue base.
And pair them with a soft champagne highlight.
For warm undertones, I switch to peachy or coral pinks and use a golden bronzer to warm up the cheeks and temples.
Texture-wise, I love a satin finish on the lips and a subtle shimmer on the lids.
But keep the skin demi-matte so it photographs well.
If the dress has sequins or sparkle, I tone down the eye shimmer and let the dress do the talking—balance is everything.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
