2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on City outfits.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For warm undertones, lean into golden bronzer and a terracotta lip.
It’ll echo the burgundy without clashing.
If you’re cooler-toned, swap the bronze for a mauve taupe shadow and a berry-stained lip to keep the harmony.
Texture matters too: if your heels are patent leather, go for a dewy skin finish; if they’re suede, matte everything down so the shoes feel luxe, not shiny.
Proportions wise, keep the eyes defined but not smoky.
Burgundy heels already add drama to the lower half.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
