Start with detangled, slightly damp hair.
It’s so much easier to braid.
I section the hair into clean parts using a rat-tail comb, then work in small sections, adding a tiny bit of styling cream to each one to keep it smooth.
Once the braids are in, I run my fingers down each one to loosen them slightly for that soft, modern look.
Finish with a lightweight oil on the scalp to keep it moisturized and a quick check that no part is pulling.
