How I Recreate It in Under 15 Minutes
In the studio, I start by thoroughly detangling and stretching the hair.
This is non-negotiable for a smooth install.
I’ll section with precision, then feed the extension in gradually with a small amount of braiding hair, using a light touch so the braid lies flat and doesn’t pull at the root.
Once all the braids are in, I dip my fingers in warm water and a drop of mousse to smooth down any flyaways, then I’ll tie a satin scarf around the edges for about 10 minutes to set the parts.
That little step makes the whole style look like it was done at a high-end salon.
Even if you’re doing it at home.
