2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on 28 Gorgeous Beach Wedding Hairstyles from Real Destination Weddings.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For fair skin with cool undertones, I’d pull in soft, ash-blonde highlights to catch the light.
On deeper or olive skin, richer caramel or honey tones make the braids pop beautifully against the sun.
Texture-wise, you can go tighter with a Dutch braid for a boho edge.
Or looser with a fishtail for something more romantic.
And if you have fine hair, I add a few clip-in extensions—nobody has to know.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
Keeping a saved reference photo on your phone makes it easy to compare subtle details, textures, and color harmony before you start.
