2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on 2025 Trends.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Pin Look
Finding Your Most Flattering Version
If you have warm undertones (golden or peachy), swap the mauve lip for a terracotta gloss and use a champagne highlighter.
For cooler undertones (pink or rosy), lean into a rose-gold shimmer and a berry-stained lip to keep the complexion balanced.
Texture-wise, I love mixing a satin foundation with a tiny drop of liquid illuminator for that soft-matte finish that still catches light.
If you’re oily, press a translucent powder only on the T-zone and keep the cheeks dewy.
That contrast reads as high-fashion, not greasy.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
Always check how the finish and proportions look in both natural window light and warm indoor lighting so the result feels effortless from every angle.
Keeping a saved reference photo on your phone makes it easy to compare subtle details, textures, and color harmony before you start.
