2. Customizing Undertones, Shades & Proportions
Welcome to Part 2 of my breakdown on 10 Trendy Ways To Wear Red Shoes This Season.
Before you lock in your final formula or outfit pairing, here is how I adapt the tones and textures for each client.

Pin Look
Finding Your Most Flattering Version
For warm undertones (think golden skin or olive), lean into tomato or brick reds with an orange base.
Cool undertones (pinkish or porcelain) shine with cherry or raspberry reds that have a blue undertone.
This prevents your shoes from looking muddy against your skin.
Texture matters too: patent leather adds a glossy, dressy vibe and reflects light.
While matte suede feels more casual and grounded.
Choose glossy for evenings and matte for daytime, and don’t be afraid to mix textures in one outfit.
A patent pump with a matte knit dress is chef’s kiss.
✦ Which Finish Fits Your Vibe?
- Velvet Rose-Gold Glow: Effortless, soft-focus dimension that flatters every skin tone in daytime or candlelight.
- High-Impact Statement Finish: Crisp lines, rich pigment payoff, and bold contrast for evening events or street-style photos.
- Balanced Proportions: Keep one feature bold while letting the surrounding textures stay airy and breathable.
